In 2012 CEO, Kimberly Bryant created the organization Black Girls Code. Black Girls Code is an organization that proves that regardless of race or gender, some young ladies are the future of technology. Black Girls Code motto is to empower women of color to unlock their dreams, while crushing the stereotypes about science & technology.
As it continues to grow Black Girls Code has now made a major move and now has a new permanent 6,000-square-foot home located at Google in New York City. The goal of Black Girls Code is to reach 1 million girls by 2040.
