Every Week I look to feature and interview a young mover and shaker who embodies the “Go Getta Spirit” and is doing great things for the people and themselves in the Western New York and Southern Ontario community. Having the the blessed opportunity of having my show “The Go Getta Mix” I look to use my platform to acknowledge those people nominated as “The Go Getta of The Week”.
Meet The Go Getta Alexys Swgert
Alexys Swygert (Lex Swygert), wife, mom, and edupreneur graduated from Daemen college in 2012 with a Masters Degree in Education. After being laid off from her job as an education director, she decided to take her career into her own hands thus launching School Boot Camp. Initially, School Boot Camp began as a mobile tutoring agency but, it was difficult being a one [wo]man army. She rebranded and opened her own private preschool, School Boot Camp Learning Center in 2014
Like any business, SBC started off slow and propelled in the summer of 2014 fostering an immediate need for expansion. SBC is now located in a new facility with plenty of room to grow. The new space has the capacity to accommodate up to 50 students and create job opportunities for 12 staff.
Alexys is also busy with her newest project, SMARTBOX: Preschool in a Box. SMARTBOX is a preschool curriculum which is delivered to your door each month. With SMARTBOX, parents have engaging activities and lessons they can teach right at home. It really takes he guesswork out of homeschooling.
