This week I got to interview Michelle Barron who is the founder of Women In The Spotlight Goinglobal. Michele shared this about the organization.
“In 2010, we knew we wanted to create a truly different type of organization for women. A group that would include us at its center. A group that would make a difference. And here we are! With over 1500 members and counting in Buffalo New York, Atlanta Georgia and Charlotte North Carolina and across the US, we are now a force to be reckoned with.
Our mission is simple. We bring together women so that we can all benefit. Empowering women is our central goal, and the core reason why we formed. As you can see, this is no small task. It makes me profoundly grateful for the many of you have come forward to help build our dream.
Misfortune is often the mother of opportunity. In our case, we created WITSGG after realizing that we could no longer wait for success. We had to collaborate and fight for it. Many of our women rose to this challenge, and we became bonded, as sisters, as we realized that we needed each other.”
